This week my boys were lucky enough to try the Mavella Superfoods powder.
Mavella Superfoods have been created by two Aussie Mums and was the winner of the Health Food Category in the Food & Beverage Industry Awards last year.
What are Mavella Superfoods I hear you ask?
They are powders absolutely jam packed full of vitamins and minerals. The easiest way to serve them is mixed with milk into a smoothie but they are extremely versatile and can also be added to water, yogurt or straight into your baking! They are raw and organic and contain no additives, sugars or artificial flavours but instead only essential vitamins and minerals.
The Mavella Superfoods powders come in 4 different flavours that serve 4 different functions for a child’s growing body. They each score either a 4.5 or 5 on the Australian Health Star Rating.

This contains a whopping 9 different types of berries which create a delicious berry taste. It provides a mix of antioxidants, prebiotics, probiotics, vitamins and organic natural plant proteins to build strong immune systems.
This one contains 5 delicious fruits – pineapple, mango, papaya, banana and passionfruit which give it a thirst quenching tropical taste. Body Boost is also packed with vitamins and minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium and Vitamin D to build healthy strong teeth, bones and to assist in growth and body development.
This is the standout favourite in our house due to the fact it tastes just like choccie thanks to the Peruvian superfood Cacao! You would never know that hidden inside is flaxseed, chia and kale.
This one you probably wouldn’t add to milk but it can be added to apple juice or any savoury baking. It is absolutely jam packed full of veggies including Queensland grown Sweet Potato, Beetroot, Spinach, Broccoli, Kale, Carrot, Cauliflower and Pumpkin. If that wasn’t enough it also includes Supergreens – Barley and Wheatgrass, Spirulina, Alfalfa, Chia!
I certainly believe we should be serving healthy foods visibly on the plate but it doesn’t hurt to add some extra goodness in when we can.
What recipe would you add Mavella Superfoods powder to?
