Turmeric is the star of this detox juice as its active ingredient curcumin has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Curcumin aids detoxification as it stimulates the production of bile by the gallbladder. Bile rejuvenates liver cells and aids the breakdown and excretion of toxins through the bowel. Pineapple contains bromelian which acts as a digestive enzyme that breaks down protein and fats. The cinnamon helps balance blood glucose levels and reduces sugar cravings.

Turmeric, Carrot, Orange and Pineapple Detox Juice
½ cup of pineapple
½ cup of coconut water (or water)
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
½ teaspoon of turmeric
Optional – Chia seeds on top to serve
Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender until all ingredients are combined. If you have a very basic blender, grate the carrot before blending. If you find the juice to thick add more coconut water.
