DIY Chocolate Lip Balm

Here a 3 easy DIY moisturizers straight out of your kitchen cupboard

Lime Body Lotion.

This is a great body lotion for normally dry skin especially for skin that has dried out from sun exposure.

You will need:

2 tbsp lime juice

3 tbsp rosewater

1 tbsp glycerine

Mix the ingredients and smooth over the dry areas. The lotion will keep for 2-3 days if chilled.

 

Avocado Face Mask

Avocados are rich in protein. This is a face mask for dry skin or skin which has been temporarily dried out by too much sun.

1 tbsp avocado

1 tsp liquid honey

Drop or two or lemon or lime juice

Mix the two together to form a smooth paste. A drop or two of lime juice or lemon juice will prevent the mixture from discolouring. Apply all over the face avoiding the eye area. Rinse off after 10-15 minutes.

Bananas have astringent, soothing, healing properties which can be used on all skin types. For dry skin:

1  small ripe banana

1 tsp liquid honey

Mash all the ingredients together and apply to the face avoiding the eye area. Rinse off after 15 minutes.

    Love Love Love this, have been slowly trying to lower the chemicals in my life after seeing Therese Kerr speak and being completely shocked at what we are putting not just in our body but on it.
